Sponsors

You can sponsor a family for $60 each month which allows For Life to purchase an assistance kit for a family that includes food, a $25 gas voucher, and at least one home goods product like paper towels, toilet paper, trash bags, or laundry detergent.

We have a time of fellowship with the families each month which is when they receive their assistance kit. During the hour-long fellowship time, the families have an opportunity to hear an encouraging word from the Bible, connect with each other, and share prayer requests. Sponsors are welcome to come to the fellowships, which are held on: 

3rd Saturday from 9:00-10:00 am at Graces of Gurley
4th Friday from 5:30-7:00 pm at Willowbrook Church
4th Saturday from 9:00-10:00 am at Willowbrook Church

Our hope is that the sponsor would not only support the family through their financial contribution, but would also pray for the family, write an encouraging note to them, or meet them in person.

donors

A gift of a general donation will allow For Life Ministries to meet time-sensitive needs. Donors help fund Unexpected Living Expenses (medical expenses, car repairs, etc.) and Educational Expenses for the families we support, administrative and personnel expenses, materials for our Personal Growth Groups, and supplies for our fellowships and events. Donors are integral to our mission.

And do not forget to do good and to share with others, for with such sacrifices God is pleased.

serving opportunities

We rely on volunteers to help shop for and bag the food for each family, provide snacks at our fellowship times, and engage with the adults and children at the fellowships.  

Purchasing Food

~ 1-2 people to pull food items from the shelves at Walmart once a month. A For Life staff member will be there to assist and pay. Items will then be unloaded at the pickup location.

~ 1-2 people to bag the food for each family on the day of the fellowship.

Fellowships

~ 3-4 people to provide dinner or breakfast at one of the fellowship times in Gurley on the 3rd Saturday of the month or in Huntsville on the 4th Friday night and 4th Saturday morning of the month.

~ 2 people to provide childcare during the fellowship times in Huntsville on the 4th Friday night and 4th Saturday morning of each month.

~ Someone who can take pictures at any of the fellowship times.

All volunteers are welcome to participate in the fellowship times to connect with families.
