Support For Life Ministries
Sponsors
You can sponsor a family for $60 each month, which allows For Life to purchase food, gas vouchers, paper towels, toilet paper, and laundry detergent. Each month when the families come to pick up their food and gas vouchers, they are prayed with, loved on, and encouraged. Every other month they are also given recipes that can be made with the food they receive.
Our hope is that the sponsor would not only support the family through their financial contribution, but would also pray for the family, write an encouraging note to them, or meet them in person. We have a time of fellowship with the families when they pick up their food that lasts about an hour. During this time, the families have an opportunity to hear an encouraging word from the Bible, connect with each other, and share prayer requests. These are the dates and locations of our fellowships each month:
2nd Saturday from 9:00-10:00 am at Crossroads Church
3rd Saturday from 9:00-10:00 am at Graces of Gurley
4th Friday from 5:30-7:00 pm at Willowbrook Church
4th Saturday from 9:00-10:00 am at Willowbrook Church

donors
A gift of a general donation will allow For Life Ministries to meet time-sensitive needs. Donors help fund unexpected/emergency living expenses (medical, car repair, etc.) and educational scholarships for the families we support, teacher appreciation awards to school personnel who go above and beyond (as nominated by the families), administrative and personnel expenses, materials for our Personal Growth Groups, fellowships and events. Donors are integral to our mission.
And do not forget to do good and to share with others, for with such sacrifices God is pleased.

serving opportunities
We rely on volunteers to help shop for and bag the food for each family, provide snacks at our fellowship times, and engage with the adults and children at the fellowships.
Purchasing Food
~ 1-2 people to pull food items at Walmart once a month. A For Life staff member will be there to assist and pay. Items will then be unloaded at the pickup location.
~ 1-2 people to bag the food for each family to pick up at the Assistance Kit pickup on that day
Fellowships
~ 3-4 people to provide dinner or breakfast at one of the fellowship times. We have four times available at different locations - Owens Cross Roads, Gurley, and Huntsville.
~ 2-3 people to provide childcare during the fellowship time on the fourth Friday of each month from 6:00 - 7:00 p.m. at Willowbrook Huntsville.
~ Someone who can take pictures at any of the fellowship times
~ All volunteers are welcome to participate in the fellowship times to connect with families and prayer
